2005 Clean Up The Bay Contest

The South Channel's Association held it's first annual “Clean Up The Bay” contest this year. The contest invited young cottagers to pick up trash along the shoreline and enter a photograph of themselves with their trash to win some great prizes.

Prizes were awarded for the most trash, the most unusual piece of trash, and the largest single item.

We want to thank our sponsors who, without hesitation, agreed to sponsor these exciting awards. They are White Squall of Georgian Bay (one half-day kayak lesson), The Divers Nook (winner and guest diving with mask and snorkel to local wreck) and Castmates Fishing Tours (4 hour fishing tour, down rigging for Lake Trout)

This years winners were Elijah Topping for the most trash, Honor Lopes and friends for the largest item, and Jessie Spoerel and Gabriel White for the most unusual piece of trash.

Congratulations to our winners and all who participated.  We look forward to having the contest again next year.
